How strong are you for your size? Wilks and DOTS scores let lifters of any body weight compare their powerlifting totals fairly.
How this works
Both scores multiply your total (best squat + bench press + deadlift) by a coefficient based on body weight, so lifters of different sizes can be compared.
- DOTS: 500 ÷ (a·bw4 + b·bw3 + c·bw2 + d·bw + e), the formula used by many federations today
- Wilks: the original 1990s formula, a fifth-degree polynomial of body weight
Body weight and total are in kilograms in the formulas; pound entries are converted automatically.
