Fiber Intake Calculator

Fiber keeps you full, supports digestion and helps manage cholesterol and blood sugar. Find your daily target and the easiest foods to reach it.

How this works

Daily targets follow the U.S. National Academies’ Adequate Intakes: 38 g for men and 25 g for women up to age 50, then 30 g and 21 g. These come from the guideline of 14 g of fiber per 1,000 calories, which is also shown if you enter your calories.

Fiber values in the food list are typical figures from USDA FoodData Central and vary by brand and portion.

Results are estimates for general information only and are not medical advice. Talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian before making major changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you are pregnant or have a health condition.
