Fitness Age Calculator

Your fitness age compares your aerobic fitness with the average for people your age. A quick run test or your resting heart rate is all you need.

How this works

Your VO2 max is estimated from a 12-minute Cooper test (or, less precisely, your resting heart rate), then compared with average VO2 max by age and sex from large Norwegian population studies (the HUNT fitness study). Your fitness age is the age at which an average person has your fitness level.

Results are estimates for general information only and are not medical advice. Talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian before making major changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you are pregnant or have a health condition.
