Your resting heart rate is a simple window into your heart health and fitness. Enter yours to see what it means.
How this works
A normal resting heart rate for adults is 60–100 beats per minute (American Heart Association); fit people often sit between 40 and 60. Measure it in the morning before getting out of bed and average a few days. Seek medical advice for a resting rate consistently above 100, or below 50 with dizziness, fainting or shortness of breath.
Results are estimates for general information only and are not medical advice. Talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian before making major changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you are pregnant or have a health condition.
