Deck of Cards Workout

Turn a deck of cards into a full-body challenge. Pick an exercise for each suit, flip a card and do the reps until the deck is done.

How this works

Each suit is an exercise and the card’s value is the number of reps. Number cards count their face value; choose whether face cards count as 10 (ace 11) or 11–14. Jokers mean a one-minute plank. Work through the whole deck as fast as you can, or set a time limit and see how far you get. A full deck is about 380–430 reps, so try half reps if you’re a beginner.

Stop exercising and rest if you feel pain, dizziness or unusual shortness of breath. Check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
